Neil, with the Plus Club I decided to take it down.
You need a more prominent button or link to your social website, The Paranormal Place near the top. Maybe even a tab on your navigation bar would help? I use this website to link me there so that would be helpful,and it's good advertisement for your own social site.
Outside of that I love the new look!
LOVE the new layout...I will definitely spend more time here now! I like the purple links too... I suppose the font could be a size bigger but it all works for me!
I've taken to this new layout straight away. It's much easier to read and navigate. A big improvement.
The site redesign looks great! very easy on the eyes and easy to navigate.
Looks great to me ! but I'm partial to PURPLE so I'd keep that, just maybe change the tone of it.
Websites are always a work in progress. I like the tabs on your site. Keep it simple and easy to navigate. Easy for browsers to load.

love this new layout and the light background... much easier to read! One suggestion though- I'd change the color of the links (such as the podcast titles) from the purple to either red, blue, or try bolding the current color. The current color just doesn't stand out, and it's not as easy to read. Your subtitle, under JimHarold.com, looks good, but maybe because it is against a black background.
