I wonder if when you guest has the dream about his grandparents house if he is really not alone as he thinks. Maybe his brother is there too, since they are dreaming of the house all the time. Perhaps the attack is actually his brother attacking him, because he doesn't recognize his "spirit" brother?
Does this make sense?
