The Haunted Home Of Rest – Campfire 23

Thank you. When I get nervous I tend to talk loudly and a bit fast! LOL! Nothing has happened within the last week or two, but my mother has said that she has gotten used to everything (the mumbling of the voices, etc.). My grandmother doesn't know what to think because she was raised in the 'ghosts don't exist' mindset - yet she has seen and heard things herself.

It doesn't look like anything is going to change anytime soon as my grandmother still has all of my grandfather's belongs EXACTLY as they were since his death in '82. Whether or not that is keeping him here (the continued attachment), or his lingering death opened up a vortex of some kind (and other spirits are coming through) is anyone's guess (as I said, there have been FEMALE voices heard too - so....where did THEY come from? And the voices are NOT some lingering residue from a conversation between my grandfather and grandmother years ago because they sound NOTHING like my grandmother). Could they have been from people from decades ago? No houses, etc., were ever to have been KNOWN to have been built on the same parcel of land that my grandmother's house sits on, but that area has been used since the 1880's, so there would probably be no record if there even was from so long ago (also let us not forget the cemetery that is - quite literally - exactly one mile from my grandmother's home. I clocked the exact distance in my car a few weeks ago).

My grandfather might have guilt because he and my grandmother had a VERY tumultous marriage from '52-'82. They had a marriage that would escalate into verbal and physical violence, so he may feel guilty (though my grandmother is as much to blame for contributing to the violence too as she would star a good portin of the fights and start the physical confrontations).

Who knows? As I said, whatever is going on in that house started when he died and has continued ever since (there will be times when nothing happens for a few months and then times when things happen regularly).

I guess that in the spirit world time means nothing as there is no really rhyme or reason to the timeline of these encounters.
