The story of the haunted lamp was some serious nightmare fuel! I have to say that I suspect it was a case of sleep paralysis though. I had that condition myself as a kid, complete with the freaky and frightening hallucinations.

I am the person that shared the lamp story. Thanks for your imput about the sleep paralysis idea. I don't know much about that but this is the only time that I have had an experience like this and it seems odd that it started with the appearance of the lamp and ended as soon as the lamp was gone. It couldn't have been subconscious because at one point I believed the lamp to be gone and it continued to happen until the lamp was truly gone. I wish I could believe that it was sleep paralysis though cause that would be a lot less unsettling ........
