I must say that the interview with Ms. South was one of the worst I’ve heard in some time. Not through any fault of Mr. Harold’s, but Ms. South seemed to have not reflected at all on what 2012 might mean (whether you believe or not) beyond some general, vague statements about the need for a shift in global consciousness. I’ve listened to PP, Coast to Coast, Paracast, etc. so I hear authors all the time talking about these type of subjects. The author is supposed to leave you with some sense of wanting to read the book or, at the least, check the author’s web site. Ms. South seemed to have no depth, very little introspection … this isn’t a personal attack b/c I don’t know Ms. South. I’m just saying that she needs to improve her interviewing skills if she wants to adequately promote this book.
I agree Carl. It wasn’t Mr. Harold’s fault at all in fact if it wasn’t for him this would have been a total train wreck. She might be able to write a book but she sure can’t hold a decent conversation. I just discovered this website about a week ago and have enjoyed listening to the podcast greatly. I’m not a believer by any means but it’s interesting to listen to other people’s way of thinking and enjoy Mr. Harold’s Podcast ideas. Looking forward to listening to more Podcast.
i agree with both of the previous comments.
I really think Jim is great and most of the guests on the podcast are insightful and thought provoking. Ms. South sort of seemed like a burnt out, new age cultist, blindly following Jose Arguelles. I almost spit up my orange juice When Jim asked her about the socio-political impact of 2012. She had no idea what the word meant.
I have to say that for the most part his guests are pretty cool and helpful but this lady just seemed to be a quack for lack of a better word coming to mind. i also agree about the socio-political comment. The woman proved herself to be almost uneducated in some of the more normal bases.
I’m thinking this….
In the past few years America was attacked and really scared to death with the fact that a few terrorists penetrated their defences (twin towers). This attack was so odd and unexpected that end of the world theories are now coming to light even more so. I would say that recent end of the world theories are nothing more than extended/growing fears brought on by this. I am confident enough to say that the world will be here forever. I think that end of the world theories only exists in the human mind. If no human existed on earth there wouldn’t be a mind and therefore the end wouldn’t exist.
