haha, this guy really roused some people…I didn’t find his questionable comments to be in good taste by any stretch, but it struck me that he may be a man who is just going through a mid-life crisis. Or he is really one of the local guys from small town Alberta here where I am from who thinks that these kinds of comments are perfectly ok. However unprofessional those comments were, for me, it didn’t negate the fact that he was talking about a very interesting topic. While I am highly skeptical about his story of teleportation- with sand on his shorts and a tan…it is the merging of science of the subconscious with that of theoretical quantum physics that is really cutting edge. For this, he should be recognized. This is a topic worthy of further exploration.

I agree with most of you – I listened to the first 10 minutes and stopped it. For a person that wants to break away our stereotypes of Hypnotism, he sure contributes to a few stereotypes of his own. I’m going to go bake some cookies now.

It was more than the baking cookies comment. His ideal afternoon on the boat with Bambi and Bindi or whatever he called them, doesn’t sound to me like the ideal of a highly spiritual being. There were other things, too. Just his general tone was so condescending and hard to stomach.
I don’t doubt that there are other planes or levels of existence, but I don’t for a moment believe he can transport himself to them.

Glad to see it wasn’t just me. I found Dr. Goldberg to be extremely sexist…so much so that I just ~now~ was able to finish this podcast. To each their own.

Still love Paranormal Podcast, though, so I’ll take the bad with the good.

“…and baking cookies, if you’re a female”. LOL. Yeah I think that was the Dr’s first statement and it labeled him a sexist! I about choked on my coffee when I heard that statement!

I do believe that there are different planes or levels of existence but the difference is that those levels or planes have not been created yet. Every day we all come to a crossroads that will change our lives. Should I take this route to work or the other route? Should I order fish or red meat for lunch today? Each decision we make changes our lives forever, sometimes in little ways and others in monumental ways. Those crossroads develop into these parallels that the Dr. was talking about. I don’t believe that we can skip back and forth simply because we have not created that alternate plane yet.

P.S. Jim, I’m a huge fan of your show! Thanks for everything you bring to your listeners. Keep up the good work!

I have a theoretical question for Dr. Bruce Goldberg as well as the rest of the listeners. If a person is actually able to hypnotize themselves into foreseeing the crimes of the future and allowed those crimes to proceed, shouldn’t there be criminal charges against that person? Dr. Goldberg spoke about a person who foresaw their murder via drive-by shooting. She was able to look at the paper and see someone murdered by a shooting on the same day at the same intersection as she was suppose to be killed on. If she has that knowledge and doesn’t try to change the outcome then she too should be accountable for the crime. I believe they call that accessory. Same goes for these people who said they had been predicting the events of 911 years before. Well they too should be held for those deaths since they had that information. People should be held accountable for what they say or the claims they make.

I could not finish listening to this sexist ignoratn idiot! There has GOT to be more interesting, intelligent hypnotist experts in the country that could have been interviewed!
After he explained about how we all go through hypnotic states, “while driving,etc etc….baking cookies, for the female”
What did that mean? The males who bake cookies do not go into hypnotic states OR males simply never bake cookies? Okay thought I would let that pass but then went onto to hear him imply that the hypnotists that are entertainer are all grossly overweight women who wear too much make-up!! Obviously he is easily threatened by females who don’t only bake cookies!
What a dolt. I was surprised to see a fairly youngish face of his on this website. Could have sworn he was an old fart.
Do not have this guy on again, PLEASE. There has got to be BETTER hynotist experts than this women hating moron.

Just listened to this episode. This guy is a complete fraud. Teleportation…give me a break! And his comment that the math is conclusive that past, present and future exists all at once – while some physicists may believe that the Block Universe theory is probably the most likely (ie that past, present and future all exist) in light of the behaviour of particles at the sub atomic level, there is certainly no consensus…or proof. It is just a valid theory.

Beware of anyone who pretends to have all the answers!

Dr Goldberg came across as a repellent individual- sexist, self-serving and his bottom line – the almighty dollar. So many books (as he kept advertising) and so little credibility.

His comment that psychology is not a science but that HE is a scientist is laughable. He won’t even be tested! Jim, I love your work but how you managed to do an interview with this idiot is beyond me. I have renewed respect for you.

Goldberg treats his listeners as if they are fools and does not even attempt to back up his RIDICULOUS claims.

What a contrast to the intelligent, sincere and inspiring L. Le Shan!

I love this podcast and I was thrilled to see one done with Dr. Bruce Goldberg. I had read his book Past Lives, Future Lives and loved it! Although the whole podcast was great I was shocked that someone as educated and intelligent as Dr. Bruce Goldberg would made a statement like “making cookies if your female.” Females also do all the other things he mentioned such as driving, researching, or using computers. I realize this statement in itself is not a big deal but it feeds a negative stereotype within our society.
I know we all stereotype to varying levels but its good to be aware so we can try to change them. Believe it or not I know a few men that make cookies. Good ones too
