Dr. Irene Blinston
Despite the stereotype of profiteers selling pretzels shaped like religious figures on eBay, many have had very poignant and personal visions that are very real to them. In this episode, we talk with Dr. Irene Blinston about her research on the phenomena of religious apparitions. We also talk to Irene about some of her other work in parapsychology.

Note: At about 10:13 in the program, when we are talking about Marian Apparitions, there is a bizarre audio artifact on the program…strange.

Dr. Blinston should write a book about this subject. I’ll be first in line to purchase it if she ever does.
I cannot believe what I heard on this week’s podcast. I like Jim, but like his idol, the amazingly intellectually flaccid Art Bell and George Noory, he does tend to just agree with whatever line of bull is streaming out of any given week’s guest.
I heard a lot of seemingly meaningless areas of study fly by in her introduction, but I contend that this Dr. Blinston doesn’t have the wherewithal to be a doctor of twiddlywinks.
She actually used the “fact” that one of her interviewees was Japanese as some sort of proof that there is something to this Jesus vision nonsense. Has she ever been to Japan???? It’s a mostly CHRISTIAN country these days. Actually, it’s probably be odd if a Japanese person had a vision of Buddha.
I’m sure when miss Blinton saw this figure it was a 6 foot blond, Anglo man and not the 5 foot, swarthy JEWISH man Jesus (had he existed) would have been.
Ms. Blinton’s appearance was a storm of racism, ignorance and just plain stupidity.
This is a low point Jim, truly.
What a bigotted comment from Astounded. He should look at the hate in his own heart which he projects to others.
Astounded,
You have a right to your opinion and that is why I approved the comment. However, regardless of what you think of me or the guest, I did not find the program racist in the least. I found that portion of this comment very confusing.
