Excellent idea Jim ! I just love hearing personal stories of this sort. I think almost everybody must have had some sort of weird experience during their lifetime that they cannot explain. There are some things which happen to people that send a chill down the spine !

I liked this show, it was very well done. You did a great job guiding the guests to tell their stories in a comfortable way.

I agree good show maybe for another show have people share various stories kinda like a open topic. Keep up the good work.

I really enjoyed this podcast! I'd love to hear more stories from "real" people. I also very much liked the questions you asked the individuals- very thoughtful, timely questions.

On a side note, here's an idea for a future podcast- do one on how people have been affected by sychronicities and coincidences in their lives (I try to pay attention to synchronicity in my life and find other's stories inspiring).

Hey,

That's really interesting Camille! I'm glad you enjoyed the story, I was very nervous and it was hard to convey what it was actually like there. All the deaths are in historical records, but it's very hard to find them online. I did find a list of the people suspected of killing the RIC officer, Inspector William Martin!! The area is called Gweedore, and it's unbelievable, there is a sense of ancientness about the place I just can't put my finger on and I must have about 20 other ghost stories from the area! If anyone's interested you can look up characters such as Lugh of the Il Dana / Lamhfhada or Balor, thats how far the history goes back there!

Great episode, as always! I hope there'll be more reader stories in future podcasts. Louise's story was particularly unnerving—I'm an American living in Ireland, and I'm always fascinated by the stories I come across in my travels here. There's so much hardship and oppression in this country's past—so if there's a high level of supernatural activity, it's not surprising.

And on a related note, I happened upon this article from the Philadelphia Inquirer just as I was listening to Louise's story.

Topic for a future show, perhaps?

Thanks again, Jim!

I really enjoyed this episode. It was light hearted and entertaining. I could see this being an occasional extra feature along side the regular Paranormal Podcast. Love the show! Keep up the great work!

Thanks for reporting these issues.

My host, Libsyn, which has been fantastic overall for the last 3 1/2 years is having a bad week and experiencing trouble again with my files. It appears to be a system wide issue impacting multiple podcasts. Thanks to all of you who have reported issues.

I have notified them and hopefully this will be fixed soon. As best I can tell, this is only impacting our latest show. Thanks for your patience. If this continues to be an issue I will be looking for alternatives but I would like to give them the benefit of the doubt…they have been quite good overall. Sorry for any inconvenience!

Thanks - Jim

I'm excited to hear this however the file won't open. Hopefully it's fixed soon!

I'm having download issues right now--I've tried a couple of different times during the day, and it still won't let me download this episode.
