How To Connect With Jim for Your Interview

We use Squadcast for our interviews. Below is are directions for using this system:

NOTE: THIS PAGE IS NOT THE LINK FOR YOUR PERSONAL INTERVIEW. THAT WILL BE IN THE EMAIL & CALENDAR INVITE YOU WERE SENT. IF YOU ARE LOOKING TO JOIN THE MEETING. LOOK THERE & THANK YOU!

Step-by-step:

  1. Click on the Squadcast link in your confirmation email. All modern browsers are supported, but iPad and iPhone versions are in Production beta. We’ve had good luck with them so far.
  1. Your browser/device will request permission to use your microphone and camera. Please allow access (you can then turn the camera off if you’re opting for an audio-only interview)
  1. Select your microphone and camera. Feel free to turn video off if you like; it’s absolutely not a requirement! We prefer that you use earbuds or a headset (preferably wired) for the best sound quality. Bluetooth is not recommended.
  1. Click “join session”, and all should be well!

Troubleshooting:

Help, there’s no “join session” button!

  1. Close everything and try again. Be sure you’ve granted permissions to both camera and microphone, even if you choose to not use the camera for your interview.
  2. Still not working? Contact us! [email protected]. Once you’ve emailed us alerting us to the issue keep an eye on the phone attached to the number you gave us for emergencies, we may telephone you to talk you through it.

Help, I can’t hear/see Jim!

  1. Check that everything is plugged in (sounds pretty obvious, of course, but those ¾ plugged in tiny plugs can be sneaky! Never hurts to check!)
  2. Refresh page or close everything and try again
  3. Still not working? Contact us! [email protected]. Once you’ve emailed us alerting us to the issue keep an eye on the phone attached to the number you gave us for emergencies, we may telephone you to talk you through it.

Help, I have no idea what you’re talking about!
